Thursday, May 12, 2011 at 11:24AM The Spring meeting of the Southeastern Actuaries Conference will be held June 15-17, 2011 at The Ritz-Carlton in Naples, FL. This is a great opportunity to earn continuing education credits and to reconnect with your fellow SEAC members.
Kevin Pledge will be speaking at the General session of the South Eastern Actuaries Conference on June 17th on "Trends in data warehousing for insurance companies".
SEAC Monday, May 9, 2011 at 7:16PM This presentation will introduce the audience to data warehouses, characteristics of data warehouses, and best practices in working with such data warehouses. The audience will gain an understanding of the time and resources necessary, decisions and issues related to in-house development versus commercial packages and commercial packages or assistance available to implement a data warehouse. Similarly, the management of data, once in the warehouse, will be covered. The audience will have a working knowledge of what is involved in updating and verifying the data as well as using the data for experience reporting.
